Setting. Welcome to Los Angeles Hell. In Los Angeles Angels fear to hover and devils come to croon, it's bad times, in a bad place. After the massive destruction of several buildings in the city Los Angeles has declared a state of emergency under the guise of terrorism. When in fact, most of the damage has been inflicted by the hands of supernatural. However, to protect clients and further ensure the circle of the black thorn is rebuilt, Lindsey has started a multi-media-campaign disguising the supernatural in a false perfume of jihad. Curfews have been in full effect and enforced by Marshall law. There's no politician or judge or special interest redefining what is right or wrong anymore. Everyone's living purely off instinct now a days, welcome to the jungle, baby.
Mood in the city. Freedom doesn't ring true, Justice is blind. Cliches applied are no longer cliches, but hollow truths. The supernatural laws which were once in place have been thrown out the window, subtle is no longer on the agenda for Wolfram and Hart. The care-free life in Los Angeles has been replaced by pure dread -- some people are just waiting for the next big quake to end it all, and free them -- it truly looks like Armageddon inside Los Angeles, a confined Los Angeles. Getting in the city is hard, getting out harder. Army patrols are in Wolfram & Harts pockets, and they patrol every border, every highway exit, every escape. Lindsey's crack team of experts control a multi-media-campaign only information they want leaves Los Angeles, but the unfortunate citizens know the truth -- Demons have claimed their home.
OOC Summary. It's the end of the world as the people in LA know it, everywhere else, as far as their concerned Los Angeles is just dealing with terrorist issue. Using such a strong subtext to a Buffy role play, sort of seemed a bit too much, but we couldn't realistically think of a whole way to confine a whole city without seriously going too crazy and using something akin to the Jasmin, which lame. So, we toyed with realistic concepts -- all right, not that realistic, but hey. Rp dudes -- and attempted to use Wolfram & Harts resources to say they've take Los Angeles by the balls. Which, considering their was a flying Dragon on a city street at the end of the last episode of Angel, seemed plausible to us. Basically, the night belongs to evil, Los Angeles is filled with subjugated people. This is the rebirth of the circle of black thorn, and this is just the initiation for the new members too. Bet on it getting worse. On a side-note, we intend to turn Los Angeles back to its sunny self, but let's have fun with the setting for a bit, yeah?
